Lately I had the opportunity to evaluate the new FX Chronograph. I wish I didn’t because now I want one! The chronograph itself is a wireless radar-based chronograph. It communicates via Bluetooth to either your smart phone or the FX Chrono-graph Display (sold separately). The app (available for both iOS and Android) does more than just show the feet per second of the projectile. It allows users to store multiple rifle profiles, shows shot strings, standard deviations, extreme spreads and much more. That 11 FPS represents a difference of less than 1.4%, so the two units were reading very close to the same velocity. I also tested “my” FX Chronograph against a friend’s. The two FX Chronographs recorded velocities that differed by only 2 FPS. That’s VERY impressive!
