I’ve been in love with Cole Walker since the first day he walked into class and sat beside me. Who could blame me? Six foot five, gorgeous, and a sweetheart to boot. He’s charming enough to get any girl he wants. Skyler Mason Aww that makes me so happy that you love the characters. I love them too, flaws and all! Part of the Purity series, which are interconnected standalones. I have not read any of the previous books in the series (although I now want too) and I didn't feel that anything was missing and this can absolutely be read as a true standalone.

it’s about some strict Christian believers that thinks that sex is only allowed in marriage, never before. So. I’m Italian grown up in a catholic culture and for Catholics sex is forbidden before marriage. Our mothers were very strict about it but thank god nature is stronger than nurture- at least in this case- and none of us girls reached the altar as a virgin. But I can understand it could have been traumatic for some girls that thought that sex was a sin and their emotions were wrong. Maybe some of us can’t have a normal and satisfying sex life because of this. The heroine is one of these girls. She wants to have a healthy sex life but she still feels shame for her reactions. So she decides to find a willing partner that would help her to get rid of her inhibitions and of her virginity. This book had so much potential, truly sad.. it had this old school college book vibes like Beautiful Disaster, nerd and off campus series. It started off so damn well. When she asks him to be the one that takes her virginity, he is about to say no...so she basically starts begging him and then finally asks him to think about it for longer. Not only that, but after he agrees to kissing her and they make out...she goes home all excited and he immediately finds OW to hook up with. Just so pathetic of her honestly. i’m kinda confused on where i stand with this book. on the one hand i can’t deny that i enjoyed it, but at the same time i have some issues that i can’t completely ignore.

Skyler Mason has written a story that shows just how your upbringing and parents influence can effect your life. And then she's all like "I gotta not be attached to the first person who takes my v" and he's all growly like "you mine. You not fuggin anyone else!" But then some snippets of weird things came in. Like use of OH GOD for 106 times, not only from h but also H. Sometimes H talked the same way as h (same use of phrases like Jesus,oh god etc) since he’s a weak and insecure boy he doesn’t tell her at once, but he tries to make her fall in love with him proposing six weeks of exclusive sex. How romantic.Fifteen miserable years later, and Mark still has yet to forgive her. Each night, he doles his punishment out, humiliating her by sleeping with numerous young women under the noses of their family and friends. Whitney knows that she’s not perfect, however even sinners deserve to keep a shred of their dignity. The whole idea of this young woman realising how disgusting and toxic purity culture is and finding herself is an incredible idea for a book and its friends to lovers - you would think I would eat this up - I’ve been in love with Cole Walker since the first day he walked into class and sat beside me. How could I not? Six foot five, gorgeous, and a sweetheart to boot. He’s charming enough to get any girl he wants.

Now.. if H would NOT had romantic or lust feelings for h for years, or would have been celibate or SUPER discrete about it.. i would have liked him .. maybe. Why does he has to be so open and in everybody face about his manho ways? Mariana is everything I shouldn’t crave—free-spirited, unapologetically atheist, and way too young for me. And yet I want her with a fevered obsession, even if it means betraying the trust of my best friend. Then she bumps into one of the other guys she’d considered. She realizes that H had told some fibs and manipulated her into dismissing this guy. The guy tries to tell her that H really cares about her but she’s triggered by his dishonesty and dumps him. What happens when a virgin raised in purity culture asks her gorgeous, player best friend to take her V-card? Livy has been in love with her best friend Cole for years, but he’s never looked at her that way. So, she decides to ask him to take her V-card with no strings attached. In conclusion, Mariana was a gem, strong and cheerful. She deserves the world! I liked the writing but I hated most characters. The blind and extreme devotion and peer pressure had me struggling. But once again I am biased. Just because someone is a virgin and doesn't have any sexual experience doesn't mean they're fragile glass. Right now I'm releasing the books a year apart because that's …more Aww that makes me so happy that you love the characters. I love them too, flaws and all!

This book follows Mari and Brandon's love story. Mari (24) has been lusting after Pastor Brandon since her return from collage 4 years ago. She is an atheist, but growing up in a very religious family, keeps up the pretense and ends up feeling alone alot of the time. Except with Brandon (38) he sees her and accepts her for who she truely is and she wants more. I am conflicted about what to rate this. I did finish it in one sitting and enjoyed the story but couldn't help but feel something was missing. While I had pretty hotly anticipated the next book in this series, I don’t think this one totally lived up to the premise for me. Hot priest? Fiery atheist who is the priest’s best friend’s daughter? It would normally be catnip for me. Skylar Mason is a contemporary romance author who specializes in steamy, angst-filled stories that push boundaries. She enjoys exploring the complexities of human relationships, and her books often feature strong, independent heroines and alpha males who are not afraid to show their vulnerable side. Main Characters I can deal with it not being super spicy as long as the story is good. Unfortunately... these two protagonists like the sound of their own voices more than I did.If Brandon was going to masturbate while fantasizing about Mariana, I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t do it in his office, in the church, with the door open, only moments after she left. It pisses me off that after he told her that, she was only thinking like "oh, I'm sure I'm going to make him change his mind and want to be with me". In terms of the side characters, it was alright?? I wasn't really attached to any of them, and there were a lot of unresolved characters/ storylines that sort of annoyed me, but let's move on.
